I have been 3 betting this guy allot and once the table got short this is literally the 5th time I 3bet him IN A ROW. But he folds everytime.(like 8 times vs me) And once we got short handed he has been raising every single hand. So in this hand when he 4bets me I know his hands weak due to my image and the fact that he raises every single hand. Also I am practically a coin flip vs AT-A2 and TT-22 and I'm sure he can't call my shove anyways. He would probably only call w/ AQ+ JJ+. So here goes the hand.

BB: $180.70
CO: $53.15 12/9/1.4 (392) His fold to 3-bet was 100%
Hero (BTN): $52.15
SB: $93.55

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is BTN with J K
CO raises to $2, Hero raises to $6, 2 folds, CO raises to $14.50, Hero raises to $52.15 all in, CO calls $37.65

Flop: ($105.05) Q 2 2 (2 players - 1 is all in)

Turn: ($105.05) 7 (2 players - 1 is all in)

River: ($105.05) 6 (2 players - 1 is all in)

Final Pot: $105.05
CO shows 3 A (a pair of Deuces)
Hero mucks J K
CO wins $103.05
(Rake: $2.00)

Was this a good play? Am I just unlucky he couldn't fold his A3s? Considering the hands I had enough fold equity to push... right? Also my hand was 40%+ against his...

Am I a spewtard?

He folds every time to a 3b and this time he 4b's you. Let's think through this again. Is his range more likely to be weak or strong?

^^Typed that before looking at the results, which, BTW, you should NOT be posting.

No, it's not a good play. He's been repeatedly folding to your 3 bets which most likely means that this time he either has something strong, or he's decided to make a stand. You're behind both.

Congratulations for making him tilt. Shame you wasted it.

villain is more likely to have a strong hand once he finally 4bets you.. Seems like when I get into a situation like this and I actually have premium like QQ/KK, the villain always has AA when he plays back.

But back to the question, i say easy fold and just steal his next raise.

Fold, let the guy cool off just enough, and steal his next 8 again. No need to try and stack him in a marginal spot when he is letting you bleed him to death for no real risk.

yes i've seen the results but trying not to be result-oriented...

you've been 3betting him, i wouldn't mind simply flat calling KJs in this position. mix up play and possibly convey more strength than 3betting.

his coming over the top could definitely be tilting but unless he's originally PFR with utter garbage, we're drawing to a lot of his hands and hurting against a lot more. any premium Ax overcards, AA-AJ. so calling his 3bet is okay, but i'd like to see flop and tilt him there.

I think KJs has way too much value postflop to be 3betting

yeah... i haven't seen any articles on managing my opponents tilt... im still learning. its seems like lately i've been tilting allot of players but i have been wasting it on marginal spots and coin flips like AK vs QQ-TT

What would be the best way to take advantage of this player and his tilt?
  • flat his open and play postflop?
  • flat his 4bet and call a flop shove if i flop anything?
  • fold to 4bet and wait for him to cool off and 3b later
  • fold to 4b and wait to 3b him again with JJ+?
