Full Tilt Poker Game Blinds $0.25/$0.50 - No Limit Hold'em

Villian played straight forward so far i guess and raised a lot of his buttons (maybe 60-70%) He called my 3bet 2 times but folded to a continuation bet.

Villian raised a lot to 4x, 5x, and 2x the BB but i didnt see a hand so i don know what he had.

Thoughts on all streets are highly appreciated! Thx

BB ($47.70)
SB/Hero ($52.40) [J 9]

Action preflop:
SB/Hero raises to $1.50, BB calls $1

*** FLOP *** ($2.85) [A 8 T]
BB checks,SB/Hero checks

*** TURN *** ($2.85) [A 8 T] [3]
BB bets $3, SB/Hero calls $3

*** RIVER *** ($8.85) [A 8 T 3] [K]
BB bets $3, SB Hero/SB raises to 13

mmh tbh i would have played every street postflop different.

bet the flop, as played i don't like the turn call. it's probably a fold. and i don't see much on the river you can represent. maybe KT or KK if you check back midpair type hands occasionally. i guess QJ is also a possibility but he might think that this hand is not in your range because he will expect you to bet it on the flop most of the time.

You are repping basically one hand... kinda... you'd generally bet QJ if checked to on the flop. Obviously you should be betting J9 here as well but please don't use the fact that you didn't as an excuse that villain should figure in QJ into your range by the river. Also... you are bluffing on just about the drawiest possible board in holdem where the vast majority of bluffs missed on the river thus increasing the likelyhood you will get called.

On the positive side I like your raise size on the river as for all the reasons mentioned above as to why it's a bad place to bluff, it's the same reason why if you actually had a nutted hand on the river you should be raising massively.

hes repping more KK/KT than QJ afaik?
Pretty sure QJ bets flop like, 99.9% of the time.

edit: either way u rep ****** thin and I think this river bluff is awful.

i betting here most of the times on the flop but i didnt know why i choosed a different way this time but i could also have raised the turn.
He could put me on K8,KT,QJ but thats it.

But isnt this play a consideration worth if you are doing it with a pretty strong hand? By the way i thought that he might be on a bluff and thats why i raised because he would have very likely bet the flop with an A. What is he trying to rep on the river? I cant imagine him betting with an 8,T,K? Also if he does have the ace it will be hard for him to call

Without wanting to sound harsh, if you have played so little, or are paying so little attention that you expect this to be true, it is time to master ABC poker before trying bluff raising rivers.
