Just joined the table, second hand or something. Villain is displaying a silverstar fwiw.

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.50(BB) Poker Stars
Hero ($25.45)
BB ($7.50)
BTN ($33.80)

Dealt to Hero 5 A

BTN raises to $1, Hero calls $0.75, fold

FLOP ($2.50) 6 3 A

Hero checks, BTN bets $1, Hero raises to $4, BTN calls $3

TURN ($10.50) 6 3 A 3

Hero bets $7, BTN raises to $14, Hero raises to $20.45 (AI)

Standard? Flop c/raise is good right?

Prefer 3b pre or fold, any reason why u joined a table with only 2 at it prev with one of them being a ss?

As played seems fine

people say that the players at 100bb tables don't think when they play--95% of the people that shortstack at shortstack tables are so dumb it is surprising that they can even operate a computer or read cards. hence, free(er) money. and i join shorter handed tables b/c people are even worse at HU play.

and I don't see what the point of a 3b pre is, he's not calling w/ much worse (ft3b is really high at ss tables typically) and I potentially lose a lot of postflop value I think.

There is no way in hell the call pre is +ev, unless the villain is really, really, really, really, really ******ed, in which case it might be BE call

I feel like c/r'ing flop makes him play nearly perfectly.

Glad some other people also say call flop. We don't just have the nut FD, but we also have TP. So even if we miss our draw we are still in good shape at showdown.
FWIW, if we wouldn't have hit the ace on the flop i would c/r.

As played,
should we 3bet AI OTT versus his raise?
I think we can agree that our pair of aces is no good anymore. He has a better ace or FH a lot imo. Our FE is also very small giving the AWESOME pot-dds we'll give villian OTT

If we just call his raise We get pot odds of 4,5-1. So we could call hoping to hit a diamond (or the miracle A which will probably result in a split pot), but even if we do hit it i'm not sure we'll get paid off by a worse hand despite very good pot odds for villian (we would bet $13 AI on a $38 pot) because our Flush will be very obvious

Not to mention villian could already have a FH

So as played, i would fold turn
To Nitty? Anyone some feedback on my thoughts?
