Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.50(BB) Prima
($55.15)
Hero ($93.55)

Dealt to Hero 8 8

Hero raises to $1.50, raises to $5.50, Hero calls $4

FLOP ($11) 9 2 K

checks, Hero checks

TURN ($11) 9 2 K 2

bets $7.50, Hero calls $7.50

RIVER ($26) 9 2 K 2 5

Villain played agressive was 3betting met 25%, he takes a very weird line. This is the first time I call a 3bet. Am I ever good here?

No, I don't think so. At these stakes villains are not second barreling much with air. You are beat here very often. There are no draws so expect to see a lot of Kings here

I think he will barrel this Flop with Air almost always. Also he will often barrel with Hands with little SD-Value like Ax/small PP´s.
So his Range for checking this Flop is imho Monsters, going for a c/r or slowplaying, or 9x and TT-QQ going for a bluffcatch.
I would call Turn, since I´ve seen this line sometimes from Ax or 66 which will check River. But for sure fold to this Riverbet

I highly doubt he'd throw out that river bet with air considdering that this is the first time you called his 3bet.
On the other hand, he did follow a very weak line by betting when the 2 hit on the turn because that card is likely not to have improven his hand.
If he's the type of player that makes crazy bluffs and follows through you could make a point for calling but otherwise I'd fold. You only had $13 in the pot anyway.

I would fold to the river. But if he is pretty aggro postflop as well as preflop then you might just want to consider 4betting and calling a shove with 88. A hand like 88 is hard to improve unless you hit a set and if villain aggressive than it is going to be hard calling a pair of eights down to the river, which is why we want to play equity against his 3betting range and get it in preflop.

I've just played with some typical villain, who made a such big pre-flop re-raises, with random trash, then check a flop, to see, if I'm hit - if I check behind - he usually bet's both turn and river big - so, I usually snapcalled river.

So - pretty much fold, with some exception. You need to consider 4-betting with this type of hand, if he is so agressive.
