Hi guys,
Long Time Lurker First Time Poster here! (AKA Martin)

Going to start with a simple little hand, while I get the hang of things. Here goes, hope this works...

Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 8 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #12982162

    MP1: $42.25 (84.5 bb)
    MP2: $55.50 (111 bb)
    MP3: $50 (100 bb)
    CO: $52.10 (104.2 bb)
    BTN: $19.25 (38.5 bb)
    Hero (SB): $45.90 (91.8 bb)
    BB: $41.45 (82.9 bb)
    UTG+2: $28.75 (57.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 3 5
2 folds, MP2 raises to $1.75, 3 folds, Hero calls $1.50, BB folds

    Flop: ($4) 4 7 6 (2 players)

My stats are 16/12/inf, his are 19/17/1, over 100 hands.

Was just wondering how to get max value here:
    - check raise?
    - check call?
    - donk?!
    Plan for after the flop?

    Thank you for your time

Villains cbet % would be nice to have but given is AF of 1 I like leading out here as we have so much equity and I'd be barreling just about any turns as well.

Oh, and welcome to the forums

Curious what your plan was calling with this hand preflop oop? I don't play anywhere close to 50NL but I'm probably just gonna donk here and hope villain spazzes with an overpair or something.

    Thanks for replies.
    Villain's C-bet was 75%, with a fold to flop bet being 33%.

My plan was to call and hit this flop
Seriously though - I was planning on check-raising most draws, but when I hit the flop this hard I decided to do exactly what you just said.

    Fold pre.

Flop starts with a check. I'd like to know more stats on villain, if he's barrel happy then check call, if he's more aggro sticky then I like check raise small.

Villain seems aggressive given preflop stats and a postflop aggression factor of 1 means different for a lag then tag. Check-call flop, then check the turn and hope an over are falls.

    Welcome to the forums!

Pretty much what NJD said. Seriously though, fold pre.

Welcome. Well it's good that you had a plan to play this hand but in the long run you'll find yourself getting into less awkward situations by just folding pre. My preference would be to fold>3b>call.

You flopped gin. That was a very good play on your part. I want to c/r flop here and build this pot up before any scare cards hit to kill our action.

How to maximize value here? Fold pre.

The worst thing here as well is that even though you basically flop as good as you could want you still probably have to check/call down because you cant check/raise because anyone with any sense is going to put you on a massive hand and fold so the chances are you dont get paid any way, hence fold pre.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I've taken your feedback onboard, and will fold suited connectors OOP in future. Or 3-bet if I think I'm going to hit this flop again
