Just shove the flop...Narrowing him strictly on JJ/88/22 is meh.

I'd push on flop. But as played I think you should fold
11-28-2007 , 03:20 AM
Why are you calling the flop if you're not willing to get it in?

Looks good to me.

I agree that you should just be getting the rest in on the flop unless you have some elaborate plan that you are not telling us about. With the amount of money left in the pot and his raise sizing, shoving would be best if you want to continue this hand. Vs a flop range, you are crushing so I don't know why you'd be scared.

But given how you played the flop, I'm pretty sure I would have some other plans w/ the hand, and usually that'll be to call this shove on the turn as well given the stacks, etc.

I'd just get it in on flop, he can have nfd, oesfd, fd + gs, maybe even QQ.

Although i appreciate the responses, please note i made this thread well over 2 years ago, when i played weak tight like most of you dummies.

I agree. Not shoving flop is weaktight imo.

A+ bump.

Weird to see MDoranD playing NL50.

wait wtf didnt there used to be lolcats here

Q is a really bad turn for you, but i'm thinking you mostly put him on a set of jacks here? not sure if he would play QQ on the flop this way, i think KK for sure could play the flop this way, and at first i thought 88 was not a possibility but since you're both so deep i think set of eights should probably be included at least some of the time. how do u you have no history yet both are 200bb's deep?

lolol i always respond before reading replies so i don't fall victim to the cascading effect

Mdorand has a perfect game and therefore doesn't need strat advice.
The only possibility in him making a strat thread is to mock the puny peasants way of thinking.
