.50/1, 6max, $100 effective. Villain is VPIP 32%-50% with PFR<20%.

OTTH

Villain opens HJ $2 (his standard size), hero 3 bets BTN J J $7 - I think we can even go bigger versus his super small sizing to discourage cold calls.

Flop ($15.50): T T 9. X-hero bets $5.50 and villain calls.

Turn ($26.50): Q. Villain checks. Hero bets $13 and villain calls. I was pretty torn on this street. My thinking was we will have either run out of value or not have the best hand anymore if the river is a K, A, or potentially even a . I think I like going more like $10 though. Thoughts?

River ($52.50): 8. Villain leads all in for $74.50. Hero?

Just fold - unlikely you are being exploited.

Yeah, it's a fold. Assume this is a bluff, what hands can he have left on the river that he turns into a bluff, that check called two streets?

You can also easily have some flushes and boats too, so it's not an obviously spot for him to try to exploit you.

I wonder if villain shouldn't be bluffing with a J at some frequency

Maybe, but you think this villain is thinking like that? Isn't that also betting a hand that can only get called by better and only folds out worse (or a split)?

AdJd and the other JJ are the only realistic jacks we split with either way.

Looks like a fold. I probably check back turn because I don't think we're getting value from better and don't wanna get x/r. Not sure how important equity denial is here though.

Yeah, I called here, and felt like it was an absolute punt. He ended up having 3 2. I'm not excusing my call by any means. He's gotta have so few bluffs here and I more or less got lucky. Whoops.
