.50/1, Pokerbros, AQ - cbet, x-c, or x-r flop? .50/1, Pokerbros, AQ - cbet, x-c, or x-r flop?

.50/1, 6 max, $110 effective. Villain has a "loose cannon" tag, meaning VPIP 33%-50%, PFR<20%. Hero has "wannabe pro" tag, meaning PFR>15%, VPIP 20%-32%.

OTTH

Hero opens A Q $3 HJ, and only villain calls in CO.

Flop ($7.50): J T 4. Hero? Is this a bet, x-c, or x-r spot?

I'm not usually cbetting such a wet board oop but since villains range is so wide I guess that's fine as well. I'd probably just xc.

I appreciate the feedback. I wasn't sure if this was a good board to x-r. Do we have any x-r here?

I feel like I'm never x-r flop as PFR. Is it important to have a x-r range as PFR?

We have to bet too large for fe. Would rather xc.

Our xr range is fairly obvious. Still gonna xc As9s. Maybe xr Ks9s, but I really don't do this anymore. KsQs, I can't resist. Bottom set, middle set, top two, we can xc or xr this Villain.

Thing with a wet board is chances are higher they got something so chances are higher you get paid off. Chances are higher they bet so chances are higher you don't need an outlandish bet to get value.

I like x-r bottom set and middle set a lot for the reasons you mentioned. I'm gonna start doing that.

Wouldn't top two be a bad x-r hand because of how much we have the board locked down?

Bad is the wrong word. We don't lockdown tons of draws that are just never folding right now.

How important is it to have a x-r range? Is my thinking on the right track, that it's okay to not have a x-r range if we have an SPR low enough to play for stacks by the river by us betting 3 streets, but to have one if we'll rely on a x-r to get stacks in?

I'm not being obtuse when I say what we can do instead of what we should or must do. I'm being honest. You're right. There can be no xr range. That's a bit too absolute for me on this board, but I can buy it.
