jfish i wouldn't instacall, but i would definitely call. if he shows me something tricky then i adjust from there, but fact of the matter is, no one at these stakes is really that creative and will never have a flush or boat here given action

so how did we get to the river then? did i have JT and was floating and magically pokerstars changed my cards to bottom set while i was looking at another table?

I get what you and Krantz are saying now and you're right. I misunderstood what you guys were getting at and I think I misread the hand history as well.

i think whether or not a good player will decide to call a river shove is irrelevant to whether the river is a +EV bluff vs leatherass

Considering how people expected him to fold pretty much anything but the nuts in the other thread, I wouldn't think he is the one to make a herocall here, even though the situations are obviously not the same at all.

i don't get how else we're playing a set, assuming we don't raise the flop. and i think assuming we always raise the flop is dead wrong - i often just call this flop with a set, to be honest.

it's an interesting point because the standard, cardrunners type mantra is "im gonna let him have it this time and make a note", or "i don't have a read yet that he's capable of this"

who knows how many times you are gonna get robbed before you take a stand.. krantz seems to want to take it sooner rather than later

Damn you sauce.

This hand bugged me for like the entire rest of my session. I had kk here actually. I tanked it on the river and I'm like, "There is no way he has me beat. I have never seen him play a set/flush this way." But I ultimately asked myself if I thought that play was in your arsenal and I convinced myself it wasn't as I had never suspected you of something like this before. Good play. It was one of those things where I woulda snap called with some history of this before. So I guess you should play your next set like this versus me...hahahahahaha. But ultimately it was so strange that I just let it pass.
