so there's this tag that ive been seeing quite often, ive got 1,2k hands on him atm so the stats should be somewhat accurate. the villain is 21/18, his steal from the btn % is 43, fold to resteal is only 50%. fold to cbet is 30%, fold to turn cbet is 65%

2 folds, BTN raises to $0.16, Hero raises to $0.52, 1 fold, BTN calls $0.36

Hero bets $0.76, BTN calls $0.76

Turn: ($2.60) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $2.00, BTN raises to $3.66, Hero folds

did I play this correctly considering his numbers? I know such plays are too fancy at the micros but ive succesfully bluffed/bluff cought the guy too many times to pass on this oppurtunity. I would'nt have cbet the flop if it wasnt for the ace. I think it was the perfect scare card to double barrel considering his low ftfcb and higher fold to turn cbet stats

thoughts?
again, i know it was a big mistake to even try to resteal with a small pocket pair, but please bare with me and focus on the way the hand was played

meh don't like 3 betting small pps personally because they play so poorly, also this is just the worst guy to 3bet bluff ever. 3 bet wider for value instead.
Both barrels are too big but ace high boards are good to barrel so its ok.

You don't need to 3bet so big if you're doing it as a resteal. .40 should be plenty to get him to fold his trash.

As played I don't think I fire the turn, his 3bet call and flop call indicate he's got a hand.

Seems like he floats a lot, likes to play from the button with a wide range, and (probably) is strong post-flop or thinks that he is. His call of your 3-bet doesn't mean much, nor does his flop call. You bet really big on the turn, so his raise here indicates he has a hand. I doubt you're good here most of the time.

Only way you might be good here is if you've been double barreling him a ton lately or you have a very aggressive image. Even so, the size of your turn bet should indicate to him you have something, so his raise means more. And consider his fold to turn c-bet is 65%, he's going to fold his air here and give up a float. He's only continuing on the turn with a hand.

imo you played it fine except I'd have bet smaller on turn, probably half pot. That way you lose less when he raises like this.

a bit ambitious and perhaps a bit too reliant on his stats. it's likely his fold to cbet is low because he likes chasing draws at least once on the flop, but here there really are no draws so we have to weight his range toward a wm hand. and unless we put him on some UP like TT it's tough to double barrel him off this unless we get another OC to his pair. and there are many more combos of Ax that he won't fold to a 2d bet. i stab once here and give up. also prob don't 3b pre since he's calling a lot and there aren't many boards that 66 is comfortable continuing on.

My opinion would be just to play ABC poker and play in position mainly. Dont need to do anything fancy and creative at these low limits.
