I guess it's a fold even though it makes zero sense for villain to play any hand like this.

I wouldn't want to give flush draws a free card.

Unlikely he checks Qx+ but worse pairs and flush draws can still call, also JJ can but that's only small hand range

betting turn is pretty dumb unless you think you get enough worse to call or better to fold, both of which seems rather optimistic to me.

Why is it? I can't see why u would check the turn here, worse pairs can still call and flush draws, unlikely he checks Qx+ here and u fold his equity out.

Unless you think that villain expects you to float a lot, I think it's a bet on the turn. Because that's one of few conditions that would make him check QX+ here. You want to get value by some hands, but also fold out some of his equity shares. Also, I think this is a bet even if the board was rainbow, even though that would make it much closer. You can comtemplate checking behind on the river instead. The only merit I see for checking behind the turn is to induce a river bluff from villain.

edit: It basicly comes down to how often you think villain is checking QX+ on the turn. As for inducing a river bluff, it comes down to exactly the same. If he checks QX+ on the turn, then he will be river when you check behind; i.e. you have induced a valuebet instead of a bluff.

However if he has a value hand under Qx and expects u to float lots, it also allows him to call the turn lighter, but I do agree with what u said
