Villian is a 27/21/9.

[converted_hand][hand_history]Boss, $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 5 Players

SB: $55.14 (55.1 bb)
BB: $97.13 (97.1 bb)
MP: $77.50 (77.5 bb)
Hero (CO): $210.63 (210.6 bb)
BTN: $262.38 (262.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A K
MP folds, Hero raises to $3.50, BTN raises to $12, 2 folds, Hero ???

Which is better in this spot, flatting or 4betting?

call this deep, we would have to fold to a 5bet which sucks

Yes 3-bet call this deep is proper way to go.

I like a call this deep. If villain 5bets we are just hoping he has air, we're not usually ahead.

Yeah 4betting this deep seems pretty horrible. Not sure why you're opening 3.5x either, that can't be good.

4b, villain is going to have a lot of bluffs being in pos this deep, some of those we dominate. If I 4b it's not going to be large, id make it a size where he'd consider flatting hands like sc's or suited aces even pps. If I'm 5bets it's usually going to be large and we can get away from the suited ace pre - assuming his 5b range is only kk an aa.

Ps we do ok vs QQ JJ an TT oop if he flats

If u 4b small, he's going to call his entire range IP deep so that's futile. I don't understand why everyone thinks playing 3b pots OOP is aids.

Why is it futile? What's out 4b range look like if we flat aks here?

AA and KK. It's futile because we put yourself in a position where we have to fold to a 5b whereas if WD just call the 3b we can't be in that position and we dominate his range.

I don't think it matters if you 4 bet or call w/ this hand in these positions, just don't fold pre lol. The EV difference is going to be so slight that it's irrelevant and position doesn't matter as much either w/ wide ranges and this hand.

Realy we will 4bet only value with no one bluff? Are we exploiting some general leak or why we 4bet only strongest range?

^ He was talking about our value 4bet range I'm assuming not our entire 4bet range. I think it's fine to have a SUPER polarized 4bet range in this spot. I don't do it personally but I don't think it's bad.

Pretty much this. Personally I 4bet here sometimes and call sometimes. Both are fine options. Is one always slightly better than the other??? Possibly but who cares
