400nl: Villian flats pre and raises on paired low board: is it ever profitable to 3bet bluff? 400nl: Villian flats pre and raises on paired low board: is it ever profitable to 3bet bluff?

Villian is FTP reg Campanga08 - 24/19 over a significant sample.

Hero playing TAG and have been in line.

Note: BB stack - he was a fish so there is a chance villian flats more often than usual with a big pair here in order to let fish in.

This spot is a very standard fold for me the majority of the time but it's a spot I've been thinking about more and more. I highly doubt villian raises 5x/boat here - with no draws on board there is just no reason. Im not sure if he raises a midpair here 'for information' - i.e. he thinks it might be more profitable to play it that way as I think he knows that I barrel off on alot of turn + river cards and it will be tough for him to play. Then there is premium pairs that he's flatted pre because of the fish behind, which he is looking to raise/get it in.

Im just wondering: would it ever be profitable to 3bet here or would this be spew all of the time? My hand would look extremely nutted and it is possible I fold out midpair type hands.

I don't like the $20 flop bet, looks like you're just trying to push him out. I would have bet $18 repping high PP and you want a call. Anyways, I'd most likely 3bet to $142 if you have a good read. Looks like it would work.

1) Name one hand that you would actually 3bet for value
2) Name one hand that villain raise/folds for value

I've 3bet here a good bit. A lot of people raise mid-pair hands because they hate calling and seeing overcards and they know they are ahead most of the time. A lot of people are also bluff raising here. I would raise smallish, set up a shove on the turn and shove a lot of turns.

Name one hand he wouldn't reraise you preflop with but decide to on the flop? I doubt he just flat called on the button to induce the BB fish to come in with JJ+, he's not too worried about BB's $127 stack when the aggressor preflop has a $400+ stack. It's obviously not a question of value in this spot.

If you have been folding a lot to 3bets or if Villain hasn't 3 bet much himself this could easily be a slowplayed AA-KK. I would think IP the button is probably floating ace highs on this flop. If you are thinking of 3betting here you obviously want Villain to fold. But I'm not sure he folds his medium PPs enough to be profitable. Being OOP I think you should be done with the hand.

i think fold is best here bc 99+ ud call and trips or fh too so a raise is tough to balance imo
and callin oop against a reg with air sucks too imo
