Villain is ez_game on party, a good reg who is aggro postflop. He runs at 21/16/3 and folds to about 40% of cbets. We have played a lot together and talked a lot of **** in chat, so he's quite possibly looking to outplay me, although he probably considers me a bit of a station.

Party Poker $400 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players - View hand 25425
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

BB: $989.20
UTG: $400.00
CO: $400.00
BTN: $687.80
Hero (SB): $604.30

Pre Flop: ($6.00) Hero is SB with J Q
3 folds, Hero raises to $14, BB calls $10

Flop: ($28.00) 2 7 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $18, BB calls $18

Turn: ($64.00) Q (2 players)
Hero bets $45, BB calls $45

River: ($154.00) K (2 players)
Hero bets $121, BB raises to $912.20 all in

The only hands that seem to make sense are 22 and 77, and even then i think he'd raise the flop with these most of the time as his line looks even more full of **** then. So can i make a hero call here?

his range includes Q2s and K2 suited as well because so many stupid regs love to open the SB and lose every single pot against the BB.

A2 is prolly his most likely holding, no way he has Q2 K2 wtf.
he can have 22 and 77 too, but i do like the way you played this hand.

and no i dont think he raises 22 and 77 on flop your calling range is just way too narrow if he has the board covered.

If he´s good enough to know that he´s not really repping anything I would fold. If he´s bad I might call, but I fold here most of the time.

I wouldn't bet this river if I was going to bet/fold that for sure. Pretty sick bluff he must be turning a hand like 88 or AX into a bluff here.

and depending how much you open from the sb, other suited hands with a 2 as well.

and in this case A2s-J2s is exactly what he has.

i don't mind the river bet, but it's thin and you have to know your opponent well enough to know how to react to a shove. i think against the vast majority of taggish reggy players this is a fold.

i don't mind bet/folding at all here as long as you think he is like the type of player who will make stubborn/optimistic calls with 44 or 88 b/c the turn and river brought great barreling cards.

If it is standard to call here I'm for sure playing my sets like this from now on.
