I hate this argument 'blah he reps like 2 hands - we have to call and c/c a lot of rivers' because when nits (re: most mega-tabling small/mid players on Stars) rep like 1 hand, they have that hand. Crazy as it sounds, I think folding the turn is best. I asked about the various cards on the river because WTF are we really hoping for when with this villain and this turn action? A brick? - if anyone here thinks he actually makes a healthy v-bet with AK does not play in the same games that I do. Board pair? When the only hand he really reps is a higher set. The only thing I really like happening on the river is him checking behind.

Agreed.

I hardly ever expect him to show anything else than KK here. He's never playing a bluff this way, since he CBetted his bluffs on flop. Only he could possibly fancy play a few AK hands this way.

Yet it hurts but folding doesn't even seem ridiculous. I could never ever help calling down while playing tho.

If you call you're basically hoping that he has the 5% of silly bluffs/AK you were hoping for, so go ahead and call any non D river.

Advocating for a lead is in my opinion slightly result oriented, we have no reason to suppose his CBet% will be particularly low on this board.

well he has KK so lets 3bet to $161 and bluffshove the river.

He's repping kk or something stronger that slowplayed basically and what would he be bluffing with? This looks like fairly decent board to just cbet most of the times w air.

90% of the people saying 'he always has KK!' are never folding.

I'd call/call. I'm not sure I prefer a strategy of trying to get someone at 400nl to fold second top set.

yeahhh dont think hes gonna fold KK if for no other reason than the fact he knows his line looks goofy to us and thinks we might have trouble putting him on a big hand since he reps pretty narrow

this is actually so sick true;

the results are that I'm a ****** and called because I had a set, and then the river was #c, and I decided well 1. I can't c/c now, 2. CRAI is suicide 3. therefore, let's bluff donk mash 4/5 pot the river !!!!, then he snap shoved over that and I had one of those "wow, I just butchered the hell out fo that one" moments.

Cheddar,

Sorry hand overall, and more hands like this happen more often then we like but you know what, if your okay after the hand then can laugh and smile you are playing well. Sometimes with air I bluff huge on the river to balance out overbets with the goods and they shove all in on top. Some of the times I just show the bluff that I was attempting. I am glad you look at your screwups during a hand (we all have them) as just what it was; a mistake that we are allowed to make for the temporary benefit of others.

Main freeroll that we get from a 'capable of mistakes' attitude is the self-honesty that results which immediately allows us to recognize the spots to improve on in real time. When we can improve by the moment at the table most of the time our opponents are not aware that we have 'fixed' the mistakes we are making/made in the immediate short term. They are then unable to adjust to a player who has rapid adjustments/healing modalities as part of his game if you get my emphasis.

I mean I don't play full ring but I certainly don't see why this couldn't be AK.
