how often would you say a villain has to be three betting before you four hands like 77 with the idea of getting it in? i thought that calling was better as 77 does well against a three bet range?

well it's not just his straight up 3bettin percentage, he also has to be shipping vs 4bets (as opposed to flatting or folding). but I would say, 20%ish 3bet and also shipping a bunch.

how great 77 is doing vs a 3bet range kinna depends on what types of hands he is 3bettin and how far he wants to go with em. For me it's the worst hand I would call a 3bet with, or maybe 66, 55 and less I dont like to call assuming a 9x-10x 3bet and 100 bb stacks

this, basically. i'm pretty much never 4betting 77 if he's a caller. if he ships or folds, and he's reasonably good postflop, 4betting 77 could easily have higher ev than flatting. kind of a dynamic thing though, so its hard to generalize.

this all depends on how deep you are
if its 100bb and he 3bets 30% I consider 4bet shoving 7s
