Villain is a tagreg. I am aware preflop is marginal since its offsuit. how do you feel about defending with 9Ts. as played, now what? is he more likely to shove turn as a bluff, and thus this is a fold?

T9s = T9o in this spot IMO unless you have reads and a reason for why you want to call the 3b and a plan for the hand based on various board textures and other stuff. The more Tagy villain is the more u want to just muck, the laggier the villain the more u want to 4b a weak hand like T9o rather then try and out lag the guy imo.

When you flop TP you have to call the flop, he can have AK or something like 55 that he 3b light with, I'd expect him to shut down on the turn if he whiffed and would check back to get to showdown.

When he shoves the river after this line, your going to be up against AA-KK or a light 3b that flopped a set way more then u are going to be able to profitible hero call vs AK, so just fold the river.

Why cant he just show up with air here? Instead of double barreling the turn, which he might opt against since he may believe that I'll bet all my hands for value/protection on the turn, he can fire the river instead.

pretty sure you should fold both 9To and 9Ts against this player pre, calling T9o is terribad against pretty much everyone though while defending T9s might be okay with the right reads.

flop and turn is std river i would fold, he has AA type hands

Pre is total spew and its not even close (and certainly not marginal). The same goes for T9s IMO (at least without a good read). You mostly flop draws and without FE which might not be great in a 3bet pot you only put yourself in very very marginal situations.

As played flop and turn are OK and the river is a fold. A tagreg might is not shoving the river with missed AK/AQ here (at least not 33% of the time). Your hand looks a lot like JJ/QQ and a tagreg might realize that.

Pre-flop is marginal (as in bad) because you have no plan for the hand or reads on how this player is playing 3 bet pots. If you had a read and a plan based on a variety of board textures, then your play is marginal (but not nessicarily bad).
