So guys as the title says, what's your preferred strategy here?

Today I decided to c bet oop on the flop but that doesn't really accomplish much does it? Only getting worse hands to fold and better hands than me to continue?

I'm guessing just check calling one street, depending on bet sizes etc. would be an ok strategy? Thought?

Check/calling 2 streets most of the time, rarely 3 streets. Sometimes if the situation calls for it (good blockers).

Make sure to never fold Ax if you take this line with most 2nd pairs.

I usually just betted half pot, but perhaps that was not good, just knowing this is not a money printing spot and be happy if he folds, by checking you have to know how often he bluffs if you call 2 times.
I do often check/calll with A weak kicker oop, but i try your method for at least the flop, at some limits propably calling the turn might -EV if they dont bluff enouph.
Never folding A, only if the players are really good and bluff rivers enouph, otherwhise i think calling 3 streets with top pair weak kicker is -Ev, depends on the stakes i guess.

As with most things in poker my strategy is never static here. It all depends on the table I'm playing at, the opponent(s) involved in the hand, and my current image.

If I am up against someone who has been calling 3-bets wider and calling down light on the flop I am more apt to c-bet 1/2 pot to 2/3 pot and possibly turn. If it's someone who will take a stab at the pot then give up without a strong hand then I will check/call flop in hopes that they shut down.

I think check/calling 2 streets and folding is a leak in my opinion. Same goes for check/folding on the flop

The simples is to cbet half pot or more, depending on flop or if it makes the op to fold pocket pair, that u might prefer until he after checks it down. It is a one shot move. The standard and gto line is likely a check call, this high 2nd or middle pair, but to me it is still a one shot hand. If he bullies it, it will cost him when u have the goods. As balanced it makes no difference which line one picks, so it makes some sense to vary it for learning reasons.
