Is this really bad as a bluff? If so please explain why. Should I have a 4 bet bluff range or is it spew at 2nl?

That's a 5-bet and 5-bets are going to be horrific spew at $2nl. Even 4-bets are probably pretty spewy at $2nl. Also, there's no reason to 3-bet pre as A5s is good enough to flat and you have worse hands you can 3-bet.

The way I know 2NL , I would say that 5-bet bluffs doesn't belong there. I'm sure there are rare exceptions, but don't think they're too profitable to explore. I would at least need some real evidence that this villain is able to 4-bet without a premium hand, and that is very, very rare.

I agree with above that 5bet and 4bet bluffs should be used sparingly and only with good reads that they have any sort of a folding range!

I disagree that A5s plays well as a flat and believe the general population will overfold to three bets and so I like playing A5s as a bluff 3bet pre flop.
