Villain had been pretty tight so far preflop but has been raising from LP relatively often too , I'd seen him play overpair few times very fast and aggressive - like 3betting QQ preflop and betting hard postflop, but only one or two times I'd seen him do this

Is it ok to call his raise here? I think my hand strength is pretty good -- suited high cards and I have position on him so I call I didn't want to raise in case I isolate myself with hands that are ahead of me -- is this right or better to 3bet?
I raise him thinking I can get value from TPTK, KQ, AJ, AA etc draws possibly. I didn't really like the two clubs and the straight draw on the board either so didn't want to try and slowplay or whatever.
Now I'm thinking whether I should call his shove? because I'd seen him shove with overpairs so I was thinking I could beat that and the 2 is pretty irrelevant (but not a club), but actually I'm not that far ahead -- he raised preflop so I'm thiking big pocket pairs, overcards etc so the board hits him pretty well. That said, this is 2NL so I find usually its best to dilate people's ranges a little -- always see idiots shoving with random K8o preflop etc and I don't really want to fold lol.
Is this always a call?
