So any winning players at 2NL whats your winrate? Or due to the high level of donkbets etc etc and general bad play is it actually even possible to have a consistent winrate at such a low level without extreme variance? Love to know these answers Just so i can decide if its worth building my BR from 2NL or just jumping in at say 5 or 10NL (With a decent BR)

seriously, you should be able to beat 2nl for at least 10bb/100 if you follow the guides here...

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/78...micros-430637/

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/69...l-50nl-367707/

then play 5nl until you have 20BI's for 25nl, then play 10nl for practice and when you consistently beat that, then you can play 25nl

The average I hear from around here is about 5bb/100. Currently I'm beating it at a pathetic 0.8BB/100 over 12k hands however thats because I just found a leak and my results have improved tremendously. Read the COTWs, they really really REALLY help.

Oh and one more thing. Your winrate at pokerstars and full tilt should be significantly different. You can buy in for $5 at the 2nl tables at PS but not full tilt. Also, the rake at full tilt is pretty killer. I play at FT unfortunately.

It doesn't matter. Win money, gain skill, gain confidence, move up.

If you really really need something to compare to I beat 2nl on stars for around 16BB/100. No clue if that is high low or average though. Focus on the things I mentioned first though. Winrate will come later.

if you're not making 35ptBB/100, you're doing something wrong

i dunno about NL2, but i have 20K hands of NL10 in my database me running little over 9bb/100. i guess my wr would drop if i would play more hands, but around 8-10bb/100 at NL2 should be achievable if u play solid ABC style with ease.

if u have roll for NL10 i suggest to play it and don't bother with NL2. play for most parts is same i guess, only u may run into some regulars who are building their rolls and are capable of thinking beyond "what do i have" level.

i like these champion's posts. if u are playing for 5 years i guess it's not hard for u to make 35ptBB/100 at NL2, right champ? people who just start out and see that they're not winning at that rate might get frustrated and think they're bad players and maybe even quit.

25ptbb/100 is definitely sustainable at the deuce if you buy in for max and play half decent postflop.

Okay thanks guys, this has actually helped me a lot. Its just when i play i feel like my BR is not increasing at all however even at a winning rate of 25ptbb/100 my BR should only be increasing by 0.88c per hour? (If i only play 1 table obv) I generally keep playing and noticing my BR is dropping below my BR and so i tend to hop into pots more frequently in hoping on making a good hand and getting my BR up. Unless ofc my calculations are wrong? (25*2/100)*0.02*88

88 = hands per hour roughly.

Still is this right? Because if i know this then i think i'll be able to stop worrying about having not played a hand in like 20 minutes except from the BB and worry that i need to play some hands or ill just lose all my money :P (EVENTUALLY)

The following is just my opinion. At any stakes, 3-4 ptbb/100 (6-8 bb/100) is a decent winrate. If you achieve much more than that your bankroll will grow fast enough to allow you to move up quickly. No doubt a winner at NL50 could achieve winrates in the 15-20 ptbb range at NL2, but it would be a waste of time.

As to your question, 25ptbb/100=50bb/100 = 1c/hand. In my experience, 60 hands per hour and table is more like it.

Don't worry about the winrate. Play within your bankroll, gain confidence, move up, and be prepared to move back down if a shot fails.

I'd have to say that if you want to be able to beat 25NL+ you really should be winning at at least 10 big bets/100.
