I did have a pretty strong read on him. He was playing a 20-14-2.0. I also couldn't fold the set. Especially top set. I would have folded on the river if I wouldn't have hit the set.

if u had a pretty strong read on him, then why was the flush such a surprise?

after the turncall, i would check-call (reasonable amount) the river.i would love the K on the river and expect him to bet random 2 pair i just sucked out on, missed draws etc.

When I say read I didn't mean I had read his likely holdings. I meant I had is stats on a large sample size.

Thing is, he can play 33/66 like this as well whatever random 2NL spaz we think to include so I guess I probably call off with top set here.

So you agree I made the right call? I thought he could have held anything just random 1 pair hands.

Probably worth including those stats in the HH then.

    Meh. Tough river spot

Like the turn bet though, don't agree with losing initiative. When you check the turn I think you lose alot of value against worse handse like Qx and random hand with a club.
When you x turn i also think you end up folding the best hand alot of the time since your range is capped.

So yeah, bet the turn and the river is a readless sigh-call for me, don't forget we are holding the absolute top of our range in this spot.

Next time you post a hand, dont include results. Seeing he had a flush will only give you worse advice than how to play the hand in general
