Hi all. Fairly new player here looking for some guidance on how to get the most value out of pocket aces post flop. I feel like I didn't play this hand very well and didn't get the max value out of my hand. Thanks in advance for the advice!

Do your own value betting, you are not incentivised to choose bluff-catcher lines. They don't bluff enough, they don't bet thinly for value enough.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't bet after the flop because I was worried that only someone with sets or two pair would be calling my OOP flop bet.

Sorry. What do you mean by "0,5 pre"?

The 8 on the turn doesn't complete any straights that aren't already there (except T7).
Bet turn

Bump it up to .50 pre. On the flop, my default is to bet 3/4 pot on wet boards like this. KQ seems like the only hand you’d be getting value from on the turn. Think I’d check this board as well for pot control, but far from certain. If you check turn and he checks river, you can probably bet again for value.

You can't play being afraid of monsters under the bed. If you're afraid to valuebet because you might get raised you will have zero chance to win longterm.

You have to valuebet the river once he checks back the turn though. That 4 changes nothing and he hasn't exactly shown a ton of strength thus far.

Also, lose the minbet preflop. It is a really poor size that A) doesn't get enough money into the pot when you have the best hand and B) gives him great pot odds IP with all of his holdings to flop a big hand and win a big pot postflop when he does.
