2NL: Was I right to shove river vs fish? 2NL: Was I right to shove river vs fish?

It's obvious villain is a fish given he's not full-stacked and he just limp/called pre, but what's unknown to me is how he plays his rivered flush. I have a population read that fish loves to donk their rivered flush in fear of being check back, so that's why I cbet shove on the river because of that read.

Do you guys think I played the hand well or not? I'd love to know your thought process if you also think shoving river is +EV or if you think I should just check back.

Thanks!

I would shove for value on the river, expecting him to have a flush some of the time but usually here i think we have the best hand and get called by worse

Flop maybe could've been quite a bit smaller IMO (i'd go 4.5BB) with dry board but with a fish maybe your option is better if villain's a fish of the stickier kind.

River decision is really read dependent: does villain limp 77-TT, KQ, AK? does he overcall rivers? without reads i'd default to a bet probably. If you didn't have any reads, WP

I like the sizing on all streets against a fish. Maybe against a reg we should bet a little smaller on the flop and turn, but this sizing lets us get a really nice 2/3rd-size bet in on the river against a fish who's calling too much of his range.

WP IMO.

Well played.
And no, fish does not donk their flushes
They slow play like hell! Haven't you play with them?
Does he have flushes sometime?
Yes. But there are a lot of worst hands that call you as well.
