Hello

Hero (BB): $317
UTG: $1000
BTN: $500

Pre Flop: Hero has AK

UTG limps $3, BTN raises $9, BB (Hero) 3-bet to $27, UTG and BTN call

Flop: ($83 , 3 players) J 9 8
BB bets $25, UTG calls $25, BTN raises $125, BB is all-in $293, UTG fold, BTN calls $170

Final Board : J 9 8 T 6

This is an analysis of a full-ring hand watched on youtube, can someone explains me why we have to bet stronger flop?

What do you think about the gameplay ?

if you go all in 3way with NFD you have at least 30% equity, 30% chance to triple up is going to be above break esp when you account for $$ already in pot. we dont know if others r coming along , yet, but, that weighted probability is something to consider.

there is ~260 alredy in pot when you jam
if you assume hes never folding, youre risking 290 to win 260 which is rougly 1:1
do pot odds calc. (bet)/(pot+bet)
which means you have to be good a little over 33% of time.

we know our fd alone is almost that, overs may have some equity, anyone else who comes along increases it further, and, we may actually even have some fold equity.

so, pending my math (double check my equity calc) it appears to be at least slightly profitable.

i would personally check this straightening flop, and then either jam or call over the top depending if they bet small, or multiple people are raising.
