Hey guys,

Poker Stars, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #12419012

    Hero (CO): $25.35 (101.4 bb)
    SB: $28 (112 bb)
    BB: $112.54 (450.2 bb)
    UTG: $85.75 (343 bb)
    MP1: $31.01 (124 bb)
    MP2: $87.99 (352 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q 9
    2 folds, MP2 raises to $0.75, Hero raises to $2.25, 2 folds, MP2 calls $1.50

    Flop: ($4.85) 9 3 4 (2 players)
MP2 checks, Hero bets $4, MP2 raises to $28.75, Hero calls $19.10 and is all-in

    Turn: ($51.0)

This was zoom so no real reads. Had his vpip/pfr at 23/18 with 5% 3bet over 40 ish hands which to me indicated he played standard TAG game.

I'll 3bet BTN sometimes with suited Qx and Kx. I flop the nuts (for my hand) and after he c/raises I figure my equity is good enough against an overpair or AX to get it in.

    Thoughts?

Agree V is a TAG,40hands is not a big sample but his tendencies are obvious.
You have great equity on this board.
How much u 3bet vs this guy ,what dynamics U have with him?
I don't know if this guy call 3b with A10hh,AJhh because AK will 4b pre OOP.
So his range is most 77+....JJ....QQ,KK,AA IMO 4b OOP.
    I don't see him holding 33 or 44...
    so I think V holds 99,10'ns,JJ...

    I don't understand why he checks/raise OTF....strange hand...I mean only if V has some reads on U
After everybody comments will be interesting to post the results,I am curious to see what are his holdings and why he takes this line.

That flop is a great example of the old saying, "it's better to be lucky than good". Fold pre, call flop.

I have a much better one from yesterday. Tight UTG opens, I 3bet KK 3x from UTG+1, all fold to BBtard who cold flats. So does UTG. Flop is 8xx two clubs. BB donks 1/2 pot, UTG folds and I shove. BB calls and shows T8cc. KK help up but seriously WTF.

    OP: easy call otf.

Why does everyone advocate folding pre?

No one ever polarises their 3betting range? Or do you just prefer to 3bet with stuff like 57s instead of K7s or Q9s?

    a) even more reason to 3bet with more cards. Your value range is << value range + polarised range and people fold too much to 3bets at micros that you are printing money
You could probably just fold every flop even if you hit and still make a profit.

    b) Sure it's zoom but people have HUDs and will realise your 3betting range is small and only value hands soon enough tbh.

Not sure why flop sizing sucks, care to elaborate? We hit the effective nuts, don't we want him to put money in when we're so strong?

All I can say is lol at "polarizing your range". Most of the people you're playing don't even realize you also have cards.

And he said your flop sizing sucks because there's no reason to bet that large in a 3 bet pot. Somewhere around 1/2 pot is fine.

And by the way, you don't have anywhere near the nuts.
