Ran into this one yesterday when i was playing 25NL over at a friends.
3 Handed, two of my good friends

This was villains ONLY 3bet PF during our six hour session, but this was about three or so hours in. He is pretty LAG in general (mostly post flop), very capable of big bluffs... but i don't know about this one.

Hero BTN ($42.50)
Villain SB ($35.75)
Other Friend BB ($23.75)

Dealt to Hero: AK

Pre-Flop ($0.35)
Hero raises to $0.75, Villain Raises to $2.25, Other Friend calls $2.00, Hero calls $1.50

Flop ($6.75): 4AJ
Villain bets $32.25 All-in, Other friend folds, Hero...?

I tanked a while...

4b/get in PF, especially in a 3-handed home game?
As played, I don't think you can fold here. He just never does this with a monster. As you said, he's quite laggy post flop, makes it a call i suppose.

Interesting... I actually folded... I just started shaking my head when he announced All-in. The fact that he hadn't 3bet AT ALL in several hours of 3 handed play made me nervous to 4bet...

My though process: he would never make this move with KK/QQ (hes a thinking player/knows better). AA not likely due to two aces being accounted for... i put him on JJ fishing for a call from and ace... which most likely he though me or my other friend had.

AA, i showed my AK when i folded. Looking back, he played the hand very badly and should have stacked me probably. If he had made any bet smaller than the pot, i probably would have raised him and then been pot committed to call his shove

as played i fold online to the overbet shove on the flop. Live it's a different beast, i guess. the only 3bet read makes a difference imo.
