Ask yourself why you are raising there and what does it accomplish? If you raise, are you turning TT into a bluff? Do you think that hand would be more profitable played as a showdown value hand? If you raise, will villain just flat call with a draw, then check the turn allowing you to get to the river cheaply, or will he shove on you and put you in a tough spot? Do you have any specific reads?

In "I'm confused" spots like this with no reads or stats to go off of, it is often helpful to classify our hands and then pick a line based on that. There are 3 basic classes, but this gets expanded in certain spots.

#1 Value- we are fist pumping when we raise and they shove over us. That is not the case here.

#2 Air- we totally bricked and can now decide to fold or bluff this hand. That is not the case here.

#3 ShowDown Value- We have a hand that rates to be the best, but we are not thrilled about raising the pot and getting the money in. This is more inline with the strength of your hand here. The goal with a SDV hand is simply to get to the river as cheaply as possible and see if our hand is good.

Most limpers will limp small pocket pairs and suited connector type hands. Both of those hands smashed this flop. Always be wary of flops where there are 3 cards below ten when players have limp/called in front of you. It is highly unlikely that raising here will illicit any folds. Most fish that donk, will not fold to a raise.

Flat the flop donk and re-evaluate on the Turn.
