Hey guys,

So looking for thoughts on this hand.

Is this a standard call, or fold.

No stats or reads.

Also I figure I have the best hand, and if I raise I might scare him away. So I chose to just call and repop river.

I'm calling here 100% without reads.

Maybe I'm just totally loose, but BTN v. BB flopping trips and get 'eh' odds on the river = me stacking off. Maybe he rivers a full house, but I think a fold here is pretty bold.

Also, why are you slowplaying this? Let's raise on the flop/turn please.

I'd raise the flop here, you likely take the pot down there, and if he calls/raises you know you're in trouble and have a chance to get out. By the river, you only beat A2, A3, A4, A8, any other A and 77 beats you. You've been calling his bets all the way through, he has to know you're strong, so shoving on the river tells me you're beat. I'd fold.

All good points PokerRon.

I didn't raise flop because I wanted to reel him in more, but I do like your thinking.

Turn was my biggest error if we discount flop

I think turn I needed to CRAI or fold.

River yeah again your right fold seems obv now.

Anyhow he would up having 77 and took me to the cleaners. But if I reraise flop, I agree if he repops I can safely assume I am beat and fold.

But why I posted to get better.
