Villan is 43/14 over 60 hands.

I think I played this hand really poorly. What would be the correct play on the turn? river?

No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

BB ($25)
UTG ($89.25)
MP ($9.10)
CO ($25.60)
Button ($26.95)
Hero (SB) ($25)

Preflop: Hero is SB with KK
UTG calls $0.25, 3 folds, Hero raises $1.15, BB calls $1, UTG calls $1

Flop: ($3.75) 3Q8 (3 players)
Hero bets $2.50, BB calls $2.50, 1 fold

Turn: ($8.75) 5 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $4.25, Hero calls $4.25

River: ($17.25) 5 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $17 (All-In), Hero???

I know what you mean, but against a drooler, with your hand so underrepped, I think you have to call this. Argh well I think you do... disgusting spot...

I don't see a call in this spot.

He called your RR preflop meaning he probably has A and the flop call almost indicates a flush chase.

Unless you have a good read on BB, it's a fold.

Don't fold...

you hit the 2nd nuts on the turn and stopped betting a passive player. not good.

if this river is a tough spot for you, blockbet $6 and fold to a raise. A 43/14 isn't bluff raising that ever.

Do you realize how weak you made your hand look.....you did not c-bet flop big as the PFR, you c/c turn, you checked river....

SNAP CALL.

How aggressive is he? 1.5 or less and it's a fold. More than that he's pretty aggro and I get it in the way you played.

But, really, I'd lead out that turn. You'll get a more definitive answer that way.

I agree with this 100%
You need to bet more preflop, vs 2 players i dont cbet flop i BET-IT(PSB).
Dont check turn, bet-it, if you get the baluga move at least you know where you are.
If you dont snap call river, you are losing value(b/c the line you took with your hand!).

im definitely calling this river here. i agree with the under-rep... we have the 2nd nuts and we switch modes to C/C... which i think may be good in this case to get a bluff out of the villain.

Also, to OP, if you planned on folding river why did you call turn exactly?

Hoping for the As to fall or that he shuts down?

Think about it, if he he tries to bluff he's shoving or making a bet always on the river since you look scared and if he has the As he is betting again. You are going to face a bet on the river a ton....why call turn if you're folding river.

I don't see him bluffing just the turn here when you check river also.

This is a snap call for me. villian is passive so the call PF doesnt mean much to me. I dont mind the check call on the turn to disguise our hand and to get value out of non flushes on the river. But im betting this river alot unless i know villian will bluff here

$1.25PF. $3.25 Flop. Either bet turn 3/4 pot or, if you really want to check, it should be to CRAI.

Question for everyone thats saying this is a snap call --- does your answer change if you're holding the J instead of the K? 10?

My gut says the 10 is an easy fold...but the J?

I don't understand a CRAI here. Only the ace of spades is calling that. So we're turning our hand into a bluff. J of spades may call your bets, but villain wouldn't call a crai with a j. . .

If I'm villain I'm thinking Js or Ts is the nuts right now...

I think you have to check raise the turn here. If he shoves over the top, you might be beat. I think your flush is good on the turn, but the 5 on the river is a gross boat card. Either way, I think you have to call on the river. The only way you could have dodged this decision is if you check raise on the turn because I don't think he bets out with the nut flush there on turn.
