I had no problem getting it in versus the shortstacker, but should I have just called with a bigger stack still in the hand to my left?

I dont se why your jamming in the first place. Hit your flush and let him valuetown himself. Plus its great if we get the other guy in aswell.

flat this IP, when you get it all in, your never better then 50/50. By jamming the flop you allow all worse hands to fold, and only the top end of his range that crushes you to call.

makes perfect sense ... the snap reaction I had was to do it for "fold equity", without realizing in the heat of the moment that I was playing vs. a shortstacker at a shallow table lollllllll!
