I went for the flat vs. UTG open which seems optimal here...

Once BB (fish) squeezes and UTG just flats, I decided to backjam thinking that UTG usually isn't slowplaying KK+ and will prob fold, and I can iso the fish (who's squeezing range I have no clue of, I just figured he's stacking off with all of it and QQ has to be doing okay)

$0.25 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

MP: 101.2 BB
Hero (CO): 106.48 BB
BTN: 160.56 BB
SB: 60.24 BB
BB: 74.12 BB
UTG: 111.04 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has Q Q

UTG raises to 3.4 BB, fold, Hero calls 3.4 BB, fold, SB calls 3 BB, BB raises to 15 BB, UTG calls 11.6 BB, Hero raises to 106.48 BB and is all-in, fold, BB calls 59.12 BB and is all-in, fold

Flop: (166.64 BB, 2 players) 3 A 2

Turn: (166.64 BB, 2 players) A

River: (166.64 BB, 2 players) 6

I'll play AK or QQ a lot of times this way too. Once UTG flats the 3-bet, I know he doesn't have AA or KK and BB can be doing this with a range that we are ahead of. There's all that dead money in the pot too.

I used to do the same, until someone pointed out that when I did it I 99% had AK or QQ, which makes it super easy to play against.

I don't now think backraising is any good, unless you have a strategy that involves flatting AA and KK sometimes.

I'm at 5NL not 25NL, so it's not really exploitable at that point vs. fish. At higher limits with reads on good players, I would definitely be doing this with AA and KK also.
