Villain plays 13/5/2.2

Flop and turn I want to get value from a smaller pocket pair and let him pay for draws

River I think he either slowplayed a set or hit his ace high flushdraw

Depending on the villans post flop stats, I might check back the turn as I think this looks a lot like a set line. I'm not at all worried about draws from this player.

I see bad players using the min donk on the flop often these days. It's split between trying to draw super cheap or trying to trap with what they consider a monster. I like the flop raise.

The turn bet is too big. You can accomplish the same thing with a bet of $3 or even $2.75. You'd still be charging for draws, which are a small part of villain's range, and you'd be losing less when behind.

When passive villain's like this one shove the rest in on the river you're most certainly beat, but holy cow we're getting 3-1 on the call. I'd be more in love with the fold if the pot were $12 instead.

I would probably make it 2.25 OTF, it gives relatively the same look in terms of pot odds and generates more value I think in the long run. I like the turn and the river is an extremely unfortunate card for you. Looks a lot like AQh KQh 22+ possibly even A8. I only see you beating a bluff here, which I don't really see because he bet off about half his stack in the hand before the river.

Isnt it so that I need to be able to beat 1/3th of his range to call? I dont think I can do that since he rarely bluffs here.

3-1 means villain needs to be bluffing 25% of the time to make it a break even call. That's why I want a smaller turn bet, or as one poster suggested, even a knock-back.

Then villain's shove on the river gives you even worse odds making the fold that much easier.

Maybe I'm crazy, but villain has a fishy stack size and I'd want to get it all in as soon as possible. On the flop I'd rather see a pot sized bet of more like $4. Then we can just shove non-heart turn cards. Sure he'll have a set some of the time on the flop and he'll hit a Q some of the time on the turn, but the times he calls it off with nothing but a flush draw should even it out IMO.

I'd raise to $1 pre.

I like the flop raise. I'd raise to $2 since villain has more suited broadways in his range that make flush draws than sets. Plus IME the donk bet is typically A.) a feeler bet when flops miss the PFRs "AK range" and B.) used to price themselves in to draws. What do people think about raise/folding $2?

Turn is a terrible card for our hand as most of his broadway flush draw hands have made a better pair. I'd check back to play for pot control. River is an insta-fold.
