original raiser= 65/8( at the time was more like a 40/8 or so..

villain = 17/14, 8% 3bet, 57/75 flop n turn cbet%

my line post= otf i feel villain could be just betting 2nd pairs here as well as like AJs & maybe KJs/QJs if he calls that pre n if hes bluffing since we have the board basicallly dead otf i dont want to fold him off anything........ turn i basically wanted to do a 60-66.6% bet size due to his range being showdownable hands i felt more than anything else...... river looks like a block bet hence my small raise to try n get 99,1010, QJs,KJs,AJs to call....

n then he jams n im confused & i have 40bb back with 20% equity needed to make the call

so yea just need a line check on the hand n my thought process, thanks in advance

well played.

but because you asked about your thought process....

FLOP:
Your line of thinking is pretty good, plus it helps protect your calling range.

TURN:
his range on the turn is likely much more air then showdownable hands. When Villains checks the turn, his range is usually very weak here. Most Villain's don't take a stack-a-donk line these days, so you're likely facing a check-call or check-fold. Therefore, if you had to choose a single bet size for your entire range, then I'd as a whole size it very very small. So you get a good price on your bluffs and force the Villain to call wider -- obviously you need to be able to float the flop here.

RIVER:
Rivers weird... does he really check-call a flush draw or 54 here? Meh... He probably should, but I don't know many players who would balance their ranges with these hands. At the same time, you could rep 54 here and I doubt most Villain's would want to bluff into a range that has the nuts. Maybe he thinks you'd raise earlier with a strong hand.

But getting those odds, I'm never folding.

lol i wrote that before i saw this. proof of my assumption.

i srs just call otr in this spot hes never doing it with AJ and if he is hes not calling a raise and never has QQ+ or sets or 66 river set or J8
hes not bluffing with this sizing and if he was hes not calling raise anyway

obv absolute hand strength set is awesome but if think about it not that awesome here

in b4 set DERRP all in

I would just call the river and make a note on him.
I do not see sets and 2p playing like this. After all he is 17/14 so no 2 pairs in his range.
Sets will not check the turn ever.
So his range consists of weak J which will not call a raise, or flush and sometimes 45.

turn bet needs to be bigger, im not suggesting a psb or anything of that sort, but 70% roughly should be the optimal one - I dont think his range is at all elastic to our bet sizing within 50% and 70%.
other than that both hand and thought process seem good
move up

Looks fine, shame he turned a FD.

I'd expect to see an oddly played set here before a FD. If I was villain, aggro enough to bet the flop with what amounts to air (we have Jc so Ac2c is the only paired hand that turns a FD), I wouldn't stop barrelling once I actually turned something that had a bit of equity. So I think I'm good with pretty much the entire hand.
