as have been documented i dont use a hud, but villain is a mass tabler and a tag player & not some random spew monkey

Don't see him calling with much that we beat so check back is fine imo also, raise to like 5.25 otf imo

Looks good. You can maybe do a 1/3 pot/fold to shove. I don't know if this is the best spot for this. I think you can do really thin value spots (with a set/two pair in position) on these 4 straight board when your perceived range doesn't make sense for it or your villain is a station.

I used to not use a HUD and it worked out fine. Then I got a HUD and life was a lot better.

^^ yea i can understand that, its not like im purposely not trying to use a hud though, just taking some time to get my credit card setup, certain financial situations need to be worked out for myself before i commit money into anything so im looking to get the hud during this month but until then ill just play how ive been before

this hand was just strange to me though, the guy had bottom set and im surprised he didnt shove otf or just outright fold if he thought i had a higher set ehh, so just wondered if i was missing value by not betting this river incase this spot comes up again and someone in the hand cant fold AA/kk/weaker set

I never believe someone hit the perfect card, so I DEF bet/fold in this situation. $11.40 looks good.

Honestly I check this. Even your bluffs got there and you have maybe 2 combos of busted fd's that AA beats.

It's hard to imagine Villain ever having anything there except kings, aces or a set, unless he views Hero as a spewmonkey.

noidea555 is right... but I still think I like betting $7.50 or something for thin value there. Doing that makes it dead obvious what we have to anyone who's paying attention... so I guess it depends whether we think this guy is paying attention, or if he's the sort that's common at the micros that shrugs and says "eh, pot odds, I call with my aces."

yea i pretty much am never worried about him shoving over my bet on the river, if he had a set and decided to shove that would be awkward as hell and really wierd for him to have jacks here, i checked back originally half scared and half puzzled as to what im getting value from...

btw who in the world doesnt shove bottom set on this flop, the hand tilted me after i saw his hand more than getting 2 outed on aipf with AA

so so far 3-2 in favor of betting small for thin value, nice to hear

I like a thin small value bet, around $4-$8. I don't think you can fold to a shove either, especially if you induce like this. B/f $11 is awful on this river.

Shoving river might be sexy ... we obv missed our flush draw, right?

With your read, I don't think the villan ever has a straight here, but I also don't think they are calling a bet. I would check it back anyway, as I think the times he calls with worse will be wasted by the times he shows up with QJcc.

If villain is a mass tabling TAG I really really doubt he gets to the river with QJ, TJ or JJ

Agree for the most part. We could see QJcc, AJcc, KJcc tho.

calling 3bet pf oop is very bad for a tag reg 100bb deep with those hands

Maybe, but their are a lot of really bad mass tabling regs at 25NL.

Unless this guy is a real herocaller (in which case i'd gaybet) or thinks that i'm a total blufftard (in which case I'd ship), i'm checking behind. Little more on this wet flop wouldnt hurt btw. Same for turn.
