Villain is 8/6/2.3 over only 88 hands... so I treated him as an unknown that was most likely pretty tight.

Poker Stars $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

MP: $25.70
CO: $26.70
Hero (BTN): $27.20
SB: $14.15
BB: $9.40
UTG: $4.50

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is BTN with 2 2
2 folds, CO raises to $1, Hero calls $1, SB calls $0.90, BB calls $0.75

Flop: ($4.00) 2 J A (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, CO bets $2.25, Hero calls $2.25, SB folds, BB folds

Turn: ($8.50) 3 (2 players)
CO bets $4.50, Hero raises to $10, CO raises to $17, Hero raises to $23.95 all in, CO calls $6.45 all in

River: ($55.40) 8 (2 players - 2 are all in)

My turn raise is pretty small, I know, but I was pretty sure I was good and with no draws, I wanted to possibly induce a call out of him if he had tptk. If I were to get away, it would be after he 3bet me on the turn. I thought at first that my line was ok, but seeing as he seems pretty tight and just 3bet me on this dry board, can we be certain enough that we're beat (i.e. he's not doing this with top 2pair or something) that we can possibly fold this? It seems like the answer is no, but I'm beginning to doubt myself more and more as my roll goes down more.

if you don't want to flop bottom set, don't play deuces.

You got him right where he wanted you.

Just a cooler, you played it fine. No way I am not stacking off here. This could so easily be AJ/AK.

fist pump ship, yes he could be flatting sometimes with JJ here on the button, but I think AJ would have been the more likely holding...sorry 'bout your luck, but thats 22 for ya.

[x] Dont set mine 22 if you don't want to stack off when you hit your set.
[x] Raise flop.
[x] Never folding here.
[x] If he had AA, JJ [54, 33 wtf] then its a cooler and off to BBV you go.

This is a "fold" IMO, due to bet sizing he bet ~1/2 pot on the flop and turn so he has a had and wants you to pay him off, this can be AQ, AK, AJ, or a set from such a tight range. The board is dry so he doesn't after worry about draws on the flop so that probably doesn't alter is bet sizing much. On the turn though, you raise and he stars going "OMG, LOL, SHIPIT!" and wants all of your money, given this 1/2 pot then play for stacks line I think the worst hand your looking at his AJ, combinatorially you may still have to call, but I'd say your beat a fair amount of the time without further information that he treats TPTK like the nuts.

2 combo's of JJ
2 combo's of AA
6 combo's of AJ
+ a % of the time villain decides to ship AK
= call

* I feel like ****, does this make sense to anyone without a major head ache???

I flopped quad 2s yesterday. I had been running over the table, so I was hoping that I could just look hyper aggro and get some action. Everyone folded.

DOES TABLE IMAGE COUNT FOR NOTHING THESE DAYS????

I once folded KK on a K88 board, thought he had 88

Good fold

this man tells the truth.
for 100BB folding is bad. Nits are bad. They dont play too many hands. So obv if villain has AJ/AK he is not going anywhere here. And if he does not, that's variance.

Stop asking if you can get away from sets. This is never a fold.

call that. one you can face AA, but you'll be surprised how often you'll face KK or QQ.

There are a lot of two pair possibilities as well. There might not be as many people who will stack off with TPTK, but plenty who will go off with two pair.

I take this all the way to the end unless there's some obvious straight or flush out there. This is why we setmine, because they can crush so much.

Please don't post thread titles that give away the ending.

You flopped a set, now get it all in. Preferably on the flop. It's only 1 BI.

You need VERY VERY strong reads to ever get away from something like this, and you need to be deep stacked.

Do you know how many times have you folded a full-house or a set that was a wrong fold?
