Villain running 38/13 with 66 AFq over a little less than 100 hands. He has been limp folding and limp calling a lot this session pre. Comments on the overall line? Do I fold when min-raised on the turn? I have been trying to turn up my aggression a little lately and I didn't feel he was that strong. Is this a spot where I should have gone with my gut and shoved?

As played definitely a fold - I'm probably not even barreling this turn card tbh, what are you trying to rep?

once he calls jack high rainbow flop, we can easily give up

What?

He's probably calling wider than 88-TT,66,89,9T,67,78,A7,some Ax. So if OP thinks he can barrel him of those hands it's fine.

38/13 are not the type of players i consider to be folding made hands

I think your raising a bit too much preflop. Why not just a $1-$1.25?

Bad spot to double barrel tbh. That turn gives a lot of his medium strength hands mote equity that he won't fold such as gutters that now have pair+ straight draw etc. Just check back and give up this one

Thought the same thing. Hero maybe knows this limper calls more than folds to raises. 1.25 sounds better.

I think anything you fold a 38/13 off on this turn that he peeled flop with is probably behind you anyway. Bunch of worse ace highs are gonna fold and at best hes gonna fold like A3 to a barrel. I think c/f has more EV than barreling here, we profit a lot more from having him check behind worse hands or draws that will whiff the river than we do from folding him off weaker hands and the occasional low pair.

raise less pre (as said, 1 - 1.25 $ should be fine, especially vs. this opponent without a made hand OOP).

double barrelling is fine, but ur decision should be based on his previous actions OTT on dry boards - how has he reacted to double barrels previously?
A double barrel bluff should be based on the texture of the board, but prob even more so on the specific villain and with that description I dont see him folding a lot of hands that he could call the flop with on this turn. (besides, what r ur plans for the river if he flats again? - c/f, 3 barrel? R u stacking off on an A or K ?)

With no other info than his stats and ur description, I'd just c/f this turn and find a better spot (and if he does bet the turn, I'd make a note and go for a c/r in a similar situation where I have a strong hand).

As played, this should be a snapfold.
