Villain is 39/20/1.5. He's pretty passive pf & doesn't tend to get to sd without something decent.

Is it ok to call IP with suited 2 gapper against this kind of player?

Nope. I would 3bet rather than call and fold is good too. KT maybe call but Q9 is just too weak for my tastes.

If you have postflop reads that makes you think you can own him postflop it might be okayish but even that's dodgy.

I don't like flatting this pf.

Fold pre, 3betting this isn't great unless villain has a high f3b stat. That's likely untrue to the buying in short and LAG VPIP/PFR.

Good hand to 3b bluff (remember that there are some players you shouldn't 3b bluff at all).

Yeah 3-bet this preflop, or just fold IMO (given villain it's a fold).

What type of player would it be worthwhile trying a 3bet against with this holding?

someone that folds to a lot of 3-bets. If someone is calling a decent amount of 3-bets, we want a range that beats their calling range, not one that is dominated by it (so if he's calling things like QT, QJ, he's going to be ahead of us when we hit tp w/Q9)

    3b or fold pre.

Flatting this isn't horrible but you're gonnna need specific reads postflop (not just "passive")
You also need to give information on the blinds.
