Your bet on the flop sucks. If you are going to Cbet don't do it so weakly.

BTW- Just call this opponents raise preflop.

As played this should be an easy check/fold on the flop to this opponent.

Fold on the turn as played.

Too many mistakes make this hand lose more money than need be.

Any nit isn't going away after raising. He doesn't make moves. Therefore, call. A nit is going to check oop if he missed or try a c/r if he hit big. Check behind.

In this situation, your nines are out gunned with two outs. Fold.

11/10 isn't nit

3 betting PF is fine but I'd check behind the flop. You won't get that many folds on that specific flop in this situation and your hand is basically a bluff in this spot vs his range, might as well take a free card.

I don't like bloating a pot here with a hand where we can only continue with a 9 on the flop. It's better to try to raise a continuation bet or float and take it away on the turn.

edit = just call preflop IMO.

Is it typical for him to raise so much in BVB or otherwise?

easy fold as played.
On the flop your hand becomes a bluff. I doubt he is calling your large pf 3bet with 22-88.
The only reason to bet the flop is to get rid of JJ-KK, so if you are going to bet you might as well put out a real bet; you aren't folding out these hands that often with the $5 bet and your only option after he calls would be to shove the turn and pray he has jj-kk, at which point you would be a massive spewtard.

wow, just wow.
reraise an 11/10 guy with 9s, after he raises 9x preflop?

am i even reading this correctly? someone please tell me this hand history is doped up.

i think i just fold preflop and think to myself, that was odd.

I think this is the first time in 15k hands I've seen someone raise so much pre-flop in a sb/bb situation. My first line of thinking was if he's betting $2 he really wants me to fold out now.. so i'll raise!! I think I will just call in future though and play it from there.
