I cold called AK here as this villain was folding to 4b over 1k hands 100% so I wanted him to stay in the pot even though I was op. Probably minus ev I like to 4b most of the time. I thought I could rep like TJ or even the nut flush here so I bluffed and he jam it down my throat telling me I can't.

His 3b is about 6% but its 2% from cutoff. I don't know if 1k hands is enough history to know if hes nitty from cutoff. His aggr factor is 2. So hes not super aggro but he is capable of picking spots to bluff in 3b pots. His flop aggression is 2 and river aggro is 2.2. So he does bet the flop sometimes. I guess hes repping JJ But how does he check back a flop like that? I think he would want to bet before board got to scary if i did defend with QQ or TT. It doesn't make sense to check back top set he usually bets his big hands hard in 3b pots. What can he have here? It kind of looks bluffy to me but JJ I guess is what he has.

never has AA-QQ. I just dont see him checking back a set on the flop so this is pretty strange. I think possible TT or bluff me with AK with K of diamonds. Just looks fishy the way he played it if he was nutted.

I think it depends on what villian thinks your range is flatting a 3-bet OOP. Generally players will 4-bet most of their AA, KK, QQ combos. You can have a higher percentage of your AK, AQ combos as a flat, but still not all of them. You're both over 100BB so really you can set mine with any pair, especially since it was a min raise and small 3-bet. Tx hands really only include JT, unless you think you flat 3-bets with more tens?

I don't think your range hits this flop very hard at all, so if villain does flop a set, really only a diamond can hurt him, and since you're range is probably very pair heavy, you're less likely to have a flush draw.

I really think he just flopped a set. Only calls turn when flush hits, and ships it when he boats up.

Is it a must to just call with AK here insteads of 4b since he folds 100% to 4b? Kind of sucks were op here. I 4b bluff him quite a few times he always folds.
