CoachDirty...

6th hand, Villian has been pretty aggressive, and this is the 2nd time he has pushed...

If he has TP or MP the my A,9 and possible Clubs outs might be good, I'm about 45%...
If has a flush draw I'm slightly ahead, if he's on a complete bluff, then possibly more ahead...if he has monster then obviously I'm dead.

I'm getting 2 to 1...

I pretty much hate the whole hand. I am not a fan of 3 betting A9os, especially when he 4xs.

45% equity is your best case and you could be completely dead here.

+1

I see people 3-bet low Ax hands all the time, and it's just not a good habit to get into IMO.

Not a fan of the cbet either.

If you had the Ac rather than the 9c here, then you can maybe think about it, but this should be a turbomuck.

Yeah that's kind of was what I was thinking, should fold. He had been pretty aggressive and I felt I was getting pushed around. Need to be more patient.

About the 3-bet PF, A9o is something I usually three bet with, unless the guy has a real tight PFR %. Is this something most disagree with?

Flat pre......check flop...as played fold...

If he is on strictly a flush draw which is a good possibility i doubt he is shoving with the 2, 4, 6, or 7 of clubs...so that leaves 10, J, K, Q, A of clubs against your 9....either that or you are dead as is.....

He is not shoving pure air here. Worst thing is 9c. He may put you on an two big cards at worse... at which point he is willing to get it in ahead OR he can draw out on you. Almost never is completely dead here (no club or already ahead).

In the slim chance that you are getting good EV on a call. This guy is pretty bad and there will be much better spots.

Another thing to consider is that even if villain is shoving an overcard flush draw, a significant number of those hands have you beat *and* have the best draw, leaving you drawing to 3 outs. (TT+ with a club, AT+ with a club)

Even marginal-ish hands like Tc8x have you absolutely crushed here.

Yeah, the more I think of it, the more I'm not ahead of really anything

Worst part is it wasn't even a flop shove/ it was a call

To all those (and that appears to be everyone) who are against 3-betting PF w/
A9o, what are you 3-betting w/ against an average PF opponent?

I like the 3bet to kill the pot right there, but only if Villain folds to 3bets, if not Im flatting.
And Im not calling a push on that flop, I'll wait a better spot against a spewy opponent.

o.O

ORLY?

Maniac and a massive calling station all in one?

Does the idea of calling here rely on the fact that your opponents eventually realize that you never have anything at all?

We only need 33% equity. It's close and obv this hand will be illegal if Roe v. Wade gets overturned but as played, We can't fold after putting this much in. Obviously there's a decent chunk of Kc8x type hands that leave us with 17% equity, but the 9c is good a significant amount of the time and we're flipping against a bunch of Ac/Kc no pair hands. I think it's a call too.
