im new to these donkaments and have no idea how to pull up the HH but its like the 4th hand and ive played this guy before (seems reggish but also has a lot of the same leaks as all the other husng regs) but not extensively enough to have any rock solid reads.

anyway,

Villain limps, i check T5 in the bb.

Flop (t40)

T97
I lead for t40, he calls

Turn (t120)

Q

i check he bets t120 i call

River (t360)

7

check, he bets t140, i shove ~1100 more

i think with your line you can successfully represent 777....

i was about to say that you have second pair, and calling is a better solution given his relatively small bet, but the more i think about it, the more i like the shove.

i think KJ is out of his range given his limp, only J8 or "another" 7 would call you.

the only problem is that with "your" 7 you called the turn with bottom pair.... (he may not believe that)

When i'm autopiloting I would just call and expect to split the pot fairly often and lose to Q8 type stuff occasionally.

But when he bets 140 into 360, i usually don't expect him to call off the rest of his chips with whatever he's holding so a shove can't really be bad.

On the turn, im betting just about always. There are a bunch of pair + draw type hands that can call twice and then you can check the river and see whats up.

Ya I think I would lead the turn here. As played I think it's fine.

yea but he bet 140 into 360. im gonna guess that a flush isn't a large part of his range.

you're right, i missed it...

villain: because he didn't reraise on the flop, and because of his river bet size, it's not very likely. but certainly possible.

hero: i think you should have bet the turn to represent the flush. but it adds to his worries after you shove...

I think SSS is saying it's another thing he can represent (??). I mean yea, you can represent a lot, he's rarely that strong. I actually like it a little more if villain bets a little bigger on the end, because when people bet small and get raised they can talk themselves into calls based on raising the weak-looking bet, etc. etc. But he's probably not that good so it's likely a minor and irrelevant criticism. Obviously if his bet size gets too big (closer to pot) I'd just muck.

It's amazing how even decent - good HUSNG regs fail to balance their betsizing and as such are remarkably exploitable. Need to start studying.

no, just saying that i know he doesn't have a flush, but it's one more thing for him to be afraid of is all.

I think this is a VNH!

He needs to be a HERO to make this call without flush, and i think FD play this hand more agressive most of the time.

i want to say this is a bad move, but i can't. i have to admit that it's probably a very good move. nice one.

Lol fv you sound so pained.

Anyway villain typed "lol donk show me your flush" and folded. I showed him my hand, he said "thx for showing me ur a ******" and proceeded to lose 4 games in a row before quitting. Life is good

I took the same approach to FV in this hand and I really agree with most of the above.

You don't see hands with SD value turned into bluffs correctly in husngs very often, but then again most of this board's hands are low to mid stakes and there aren't as many players/spots to do that correctly in for those games.

I didn't really read what other people have said, so i'll just throw my two cents in....your flop play is fine, but the turn is one of the worst possible turn cards for your hand, and I really don't see anything wrong with just check folding. I think that's a mistake people make a lot: getting too attached to their strong hands on the flop and not giving them up when the board gets ugly.

I think the thought process is pretty solid, but you may be overestimating your fold equity vs. his vbetting range
