Hey there,

villain is a reg playing 23/19, bvb 3b 5.7...

On the flop I was like, he can call with AJ as well, but also AQ, thinking JJ+ is likely to 3bet and he could have set 6, sometimes he will call one street with GS on the flop KQ. but dont think he'll call the turn...
Is my river bet here bad, i was planning to bet call shove thinking he have something like AQ, AT that would call or shove, but he shoves on me, are we ever good there? or should i just c/c river instead of b/c ing river with my hand?

is check/calling half stack better than bet calling on river?

Never fold; even this villain likely flats a lot of AXs hands preflop due to your likely very wide range to open in a BvB and you only lose to A2/A9/AJ (you are never getting credit for AK in the SB in a BvB as it is the top top top of your range).

well when he calls 2 streets what is he betting on this river? yeah hell bet an ace but hes going to call with one too. without the read that he bluffs in spots like this id just bet it myself. its weird because the only thing were behind to is a set or AJ. and 99% of the time i think hes raising at some point in the hand (i suppose AJcc he doesnt have to raise here because of backdoor flush removal but thats it). if hes not raising those hands then we call, its a cooler river, and we take a note that hes a slowplayer

you have to call here, and if you are worried - just call and you will still have some behind.

given the flop texture vs me as a PFRer i think slowplaying is standard for him hitting AJ, i guess its just a cooler for me

kind of a sick spot but folding isn't an option. There's a decent chance he's raising an ace here just because he got OMG TRIPS. Discounting this ur probably up against a boat, with as I said folding isnt an option. It's hard to imagine he wouldn't raise earlier with AJ, so the only thing he could be slowrolling is a set. It's hard to imagine he wouldn't raise with that either.

i think c/calling and betting are about equal here, his ranges don't change much between the two altho he might have a jack that he might look you up with because of card removal. I prefer a bet, altho Im not sure why.

correct me if im wrong but his raise puts him pretty close to allin (prolly like 1-2 left behind).

so yeh just raise the rest in.

to b3b, and com

it is a river shove that villain is doing to us

b3b, i wasnt saying we should shove, i think bet call is fine here. i dont like to overbet shove and give him any reason to fold.

add up the money

.8
1.2
3
(river the total bet is 15)
so villains click it back is an all in here
