Full Tilt Poker $200.00 No Limit Hold'em - 2 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

BTN/SB: $206.00
Hero (BB): $446.50

Pre Flop: ($3.00) Hero is BB with 8 Q
BTN/SB raises to $6, Hero calls $4

Flop: ($12.00) 5 4 K (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB bets $8.00, Hero raises to $26, BTN/SB calls $18

Turn: ($64.00) Q (2 players)
Hero bets $44.00, BTN/SB raises to $174

Is this a standard b/c on the turn? should I bet bigger on the turn? What would I do without hitting the Q on the turn?

Villain is a regular. Haven't c/r a lot before so I can't provide any reads about how he reacts to c/r. He has folded a few times to c/r tho so I doubt he floats with air here a lot.

After you bet its v standard b/c. If you dont think he is floating too often then I think we can c/c this turn, and on a blank turn im more likely to b/f vs somebody who is not floating light.

almost always has a mediocre king or a draw of his own, call it off.

yup.

Your action on a blank turn can vary depending on a lot of things, but i agree with the first part.

when you hit the Q i think checking is the best option.
c/c vs unknown or tight, (c/s vs aggro).

when you bet getting value from worse or folding better hands is unlikely. i think playing defense vs Kx (especially if he doesn't float air) is the priority here

So what do you prefer on a blank ie. 5x or 2x If hes RARELY floating light. Anything but b/f seems crappy.

BBB0, I dont see how we are going to 'play defense' here... Seems like he just plays pretty perfectly with his kings no matter what we do and imo there is no reason to check the turn to c/c and then c/f the river UI. Might as well barrel and call and then c/f the river if were gonna do anything.

i like doing this w/ these stack sizes but it turns your hand face up and he's never folding a K.

i don't like betting the turn here because i dont think people are folding Kx on this turn often. just check call or jam depending on his sizing and other things. checking and letting him bet keeps his range wider than bet/calling. obviously u have too much equity and the best hand a lot so folding isn't an option on the turn.
