UTG+2: $16.77 (104.8 bb)

MP2: $16 (100 bb)
Hero (MP3): $16 (100 bb)
CO: $16.51 (103.2 bb)
BTN: $16 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with J J
UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 raises to $0.32, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.32, 3 folds, BB calls $0.16

I really think this should have been a 3bet for value as UTG+2 is going to call with all sorts of dominated crap. I flatted at the time as I thought he was likely to come back over the top of me and I wasn't sure how I would react to a substantial 4bet.

Would anyone be happy stacking JJ Vs this player? I'd go with QQ+ and AK, not sure how much lower I would go.

Flop: ($1.04) 3 4 3 (3 players)
BB checks, UTG+2 checks, Hero bets $0.65, BB folds, UTG+2 raises to $1.30, Hero calls $0.65

I think my cbet should have been a bit bigger. Obviously not folding to the X/min-raise. Very few hands hit this flop so I should be ahead most of the time.

Would anyone raise for value?

Turn: ($3.64) 4 (2 players)
UTG+2 bets $3.04, Hero calls $3.04

I think this is a good card for my hand as it reduces the number of pocket pairs that hit the board to 2. Additionally there shouldn't be many 4x or 3x hands in villain's range. As such I'm still confident that I'm ahead a lot of the time.

River: ($9.72) 7 (2 players)
UTG+2 bets $4, Hero?

Pot = $13.72
Effective stack = $8.11

There's no way I'm folding to the river bet. Would anyone raise for value or should I just call down? Given stack and pot sizes I would have to shove.

Thanks for any responses.

I don't think raising accomplishes anything here since he has boats in his range and little else that can call a bet. Unless you are confident villain is looking to call/bluff catch w/ Ax or any pair, calling is the better play, imho.

3bet pre all the time imo. I'd probably flat a 4bet and probably call down unless an Ace hits. And c-bet bigger, yeah.

As played, calling down seems fine, I think you can make an argument for shoving river, but I think it's pretty marginal.
