Hi there,

Turn: ($7.84) A (2 players)
Hero bets $4.32, BB raises to $12.32 and is all-in, Hero calls $8

I'm not sure if my thought process is correct in these kind of spots. I was thinking about 3b pre; i know that i cant be called by worse but i dont mind him folding Ax for example. He's pretty tight but still on the cut off he should have a much wider range, right(is protection of any importance here)? But i didn't want to play a big pot OOP so just called. OTF i decided to go for a c/r because i thought that pfraiser can cbet a lot here but was suprised when BB donked. Still i think that i'm almost always ahead here losing only vs T9 which is obviously in villain range - which looks more or less like {88-77,AJs,J8s,T9s,87s,AJo,J8o,T9o,87o} - please correct me if i'm wrong. I'm was totally lost OTT after his shove and didin't knew what to do - how his range is changing OTT? Is it a standard call or mb tight fold? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance!

To work out if we should 3B pre for value, have a look at his Ft3B stat PF. If its high, then all you do is fold out hands we beat and get called by QQ+,AK. If its low, then you can happily 3B for value.

Since were OOP, I would be happy to take the pot down and would look to 3B here more often than not.

As played, fine IMO. If he had AA, thats a cooler. If he has T9, thats a cooler but we have plenty of outs. Call turn raise.

You should be very happy with his shove on the turn!
Dont be too result-oriented, you played it well.

You have 52% equity against a range of purely sets and 9Ts. This is ignoring the fact that AA is quite unlikely and he has a lot other 2P and stuff. Considering a fold here is extremely results oriented.

Your hand will be the nuts here 99% of the time... Why why why would you consider a fold?

I'm not posting the hand because i lost it. In this case I actually won it. It's just that i'm always so confused when a passive reg shoves on me I was also interested in your opinions about preflop 3bet in this situation but i think that GutshotDan92 pretty much nailed it so that would be it. Thx all for feedback

In the small blind vs. a CO raise I think you gotta 3bet this pretty much always, in the bb you can flat sometimes but allowing BB to get in as well and be OOP against two players is pretty grim. In this case you flopped top set, run better? lol, but yeah this is a fist pump snap call as his hand looks more like AJ than anything really. Please please don't consider folding in these spots, you lose to one hand and one hand only, and even then you can still fill up. Do you really fold KK just cus he might have Aces? Didn't think so
