Villain was kind of a hybrid opponent. Called lots of raises oop, sometimes folded to cbets, sometimes made too light of calldowns, started out the match and the passive side, but became more aggressive after losing a flip.

Normally I'd just call pre, but decided he was the type that would call 3bets wide and get valuetowned with any piece post.

Something about his line here made not much sense to me. I mean, I thought he'd bet a K on the flop, and if not, I don't think he bets a Q or T full pot on the turn. I almost shipped on him, but figured he could be doing something weird/have lots of equity and call a ship with something like Q or Tx with a draw. Maybe it's easy fold and I shouldn't have wasted my time thinking about it, but it gave me pause.

Don't like the 3b pre much at all. Even if he calls 3bets pretty wide, A8o isnt really that great to 3b, even with stack sizes. As played, meh, just fold.

Keep just calling pre with that hand.
As played, I might fire a cbet, but don't mind checking it down because that board hit his range pretty hard. So, fold turn.
