Hi guys,

I need some advice on this hand. Villain was super tight with stats of 10/5 and aggro 2 over 88 hands. so far he showed AK aces and 2 pairs. To me, this is a fold

I should've just folded pre probably given his stats, but I did have position and they were shooted.

Thanks in advance

Well V have a 2 AF so he is not very passive post flop.

He can have AT+ and sets.

U crush his AT+ (except AJ, not likely tho) and u also got a FD with ur trips.

Im never folding OTT, call turn and if u hit flush shove, if u miss check in hopes for him to check back his AT+, if he shoves blank river i think ur up against sets and AJ and prolly a fold.

Folding now seems weak especially with FD, call and eval river. Also, I suggest rivering a Queen or a Jack.

    ???

What's the flush got to do with this? What hands do we beat with a flush that we don't beat with our current trips?

If you are behind here, the flush doesn't improve your position (except against KJ, but I fail to see him holding those cards). In fact, if you are behind, not even a Q helps you, except against KJ and 22, which also is a rather unlikely holding.

In this situation any river card is pretty much a blank, except A and J. I would either shove turn or call and get it in on any river except an ace. In my experience, most people in the micros refuse to believe that someone has hit trips on a paired flop and they are often ready to get it in with top pair/overpair in such situations. If you will fold to a shove on a blank river, you should probably just fold the turn.

pre is marginal at best. definitely best to just call down against this guy - don't think i'd be raising with much worse than a boat. fold now.

Pre you are only calling to flop a hand like this really so once you do that to fold just seems really weak.

You have to put him on either 22/AA to make this fold. Worse thing about it is that when someone like this plays their hand face up and reps so thin, they are just repping what their likely holdings are.
