no stats on villain.

Obviously calling the 3bet given the odds.
Flop and turn seems standard to me, but would you call the river here?

My thinking was that given the min 3bet pre i could be up vs a recreational player who might be betting a weaker A,Q or air here.

Would you always fold the river?

Not sure I love A8 from UTG, but that might be just me.

As played, yeah can see your thinking. Might well have queen or fairly weak ace. If weaker than yours is tough. He may check flop for pot size control on weak ace, or with queen. So again could bet either on turn when gets second check. River bet is more of a concern given you x/c the turn. Not sure how often he value bets a queen, but it is possible too. For price think you call, but not expecting to love the showdown a lot of the time.

Don't open this pre and don't call the 3b OOP with it.

Run a filter see if your winning with A8s UTG, if youve got a decent sample you most likely wont be, hence I wouldn't be opening unless there was like a huge fish in the blinds or something. As played fold to 3b OOP as stated even for the price. As played we are never good on this river I think its ambitious to think he ever has a worse ace, and I dont think anyones going out off there way to bluff you of an Ax when the river bricks. Although I'm not sure how good it is to x/f a brick river after x/c'ing turn. I guess this is why we dont play weak aces UTG, gets us in too much trouble.
