villain is 17/0 over 6 six hands.

I decided to check back the flop instead of cbetting, in order to get paid off on future streets by non-ace hands (plus I have the Qc for the backdoor flush, so I'm a little bit less concerned about charging draws).

I make it .5 pre. I dont mind checking back flop but fold the river.

Call. The ace on the river makes it less likely that he has one. You check back the flop to induce bluffs. I could see him have something like TT here easily.

i think checking back flop is ok. 17/0 is really tight/passive right? i think i would just fold turn given villain's betsizing

It's over 6 hands. That means he probably limped the SB. It's irrelevant.

oh ok didnt see over 6 hands. i think i'd usually fold anyways, unless you have a read that villain is a donk.

this, and it's not as though he cant have sets or flushes on the river either. so i think maybe you can call on the turn but def. fold river. most villains won't be betting TT or whatever for pot here.
